Exchange programs facilitate the mutual exchange of students, academic staff, and administrative personnel between different universities. Every year, numerous exchanges take place within the framework of international programs that play an important role in sharing experiences between universities. Every Baku State University (BDU) student can participate in competitions for these exchange programs. At Baku State University, the teacher-student exchange is carried out in two directions. One of them is the Mevlana program, primarily implemented with Turkish universities. Within the scope of this program, students study at various universities in Turkiye for one semester. Teachers also have the opportunity to teach for one or two weeks. Another international teacher-student exchange program is the Erasmus+ KA171 program, which is implemented with Germany, Poland, Romania, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and other European countries, and is funded by the European Union. BDU also collaborates with universities that are members of the Union of Turkish Universities, established to promote higher education cooperation among member states of the Turkish Council, through the Orkhun exchange program.
