The Student Youth Organization of Baku State University (BSU SYO) has played a crucial role in implementing youth policies at the university since 2005. It focuses on enhancing student engagement, patriotism, national identity, statehood, and moral values, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle and ensuring active student participation in the university’s and the country’s social life.
BSU YSO systematically works towards shaping students into knowledgeable, innovative professionals with a strong sense of patriotism. It fosters democratic values, intellectual curiosity, and social responsibility among students while encouraging active participation in university and national public life.
The organization aims to enhance student engagement in public and university life, promote patriotism and civic responsibility among students, support student participation in social projects, cultural events, and competitions at the national and international level, encourage intellectual and creative development through contests, forums, scientific conferences, and symposiums, raise awareness and implement preventive measures against negative tendencies such as drug abuse, alcoholism, and crime, organize educational activities, including seminars, workshops, discussion clubs, and meetings with distinguished figures, facilitate students' personal and professional growth through clubs, studios, and courses, ensure student representation in key academic and social initiatives.
BSU YSO is one of the largest and most active members of the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ASYOU).
The organization includes various student clubs, such as Personal Development Club, Intellectual Games Club, Young Talents Club, Discussion Club, Actor Club, Music Club, Art Club, Eco Club.
