SABAH Center

 

SABAH was established in the 2013/2014 academic year with the aim of improving the quality of education in higher education, creating a new and different environment in the higher education system, preparing educated, skilled, and well-prepared students, and meeting the increasing demands of the labor market. Currently, 806 students are enrolled in 10 specializations across 33 groups in SABAH groups at Baku State University (BSU). SABAH groups are chains of selected, educated, skilled, and well-prepared students in relevant fields, operating at 12 state higher education institutions.

All students in SABAH groups are provided with a scholarship of 50 AZN for the first semester of their education. For subsequent semesters, scholarships are provided in accordance with the "Rules for the Allocation and Payment of Targeted SABAH Scholarships to Students of the SABAH Project (Groups)," with amounts of 50 AZN (motivational) and 70 AZN (excellence) awarded.

  • Application of innovative teaching methods in education.
  • Support for students' initiatives and implementation of best practices.
  • Development and stimulation of educators.
  • Expansion and integration of academic and business environment connections.

Admission to SABAH:

Admission to SABAH groups is competitive and consists of three stages. Only students enrolled in the first year of undergraduate studies in the required specializations at any higher education institution in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with an academic average above 61, can participate in the competition.
