Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of a Higher education institution is a governance body that operates on a public basis to address issues related to strategic development.

The key activities of the Board of Trustees include:

  • Defining the strategic development directions of the institution,
  • Supporting its transformation into an education-research-innovation center,
  • Enhancing the efficiency of scientific research,
  • Ensuring the application of new information and teaching technologies,
  • Strengthening international relations,
  • Facilitating cooperation with international organizations,
  • Supporting the organization of international conferences, seminars, and other events,
  • Contributing to the development and promotion of the institution’s brand,
  • Assisting in the development of its scientific-pedagogical potential,
  • Improving the quality of personnel training, and
  • Supporting the employment of graduates.

The Board of Trustees may include representatives of state agencies, private organizations, scientific institutions, public associations, non-governmental organizations, and foreign citizens who are interested in the improvement and development of the institution’s activities.

 
 
The members of the Board of Trustees of the public legal entity "Baku State University" are approved by Order No. F-213 of the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 23 April 2019 and amended by Order No. F-12 dated 21 January 2021.
