The "BSU Volunteers" Organization has been operating since 2019 and currently unites around 1,000 student volunteers.
Since 2020, the organization has successfully implemented numerous projects, actively contributing to the expansion of the volunteer movement at Baku State University (BSU). It has played a key role in organizing social initiatives, cultural events, and collaborations with student organizations.
Currently, volunteer students actively participate in various structural divisions of the university, engaging in university life and gaining valuable experience for their future careers.
To date, over 250 events of various formats have been organized at the initiative of the "BSU Volunteers". Presently, 60 volunteers are actively working in different university departments for a minimum period of three months.
BSU volunteers also take part in major international and national events, social projects, and humanitarian campaigns across the country, contributing to the successful youth policy and volunteer movement in Azerbaijan. A notable example of their engagement is the environmental campaign on the Lachin-Khankendi road, where more than 450 BSU volunteers participated.
The "BSU Volunteers" organization places special emphasis on strengthening cooperation in the field of volunteerism and establishing connections with other volunteer organizations operating in Azerbaijan. Additionally, it seeks to promote volunteerism among young people and studies international best practices to foster mutually beneficial collaborations in this field.
To further expand the volunteer movement at BSU and enhance the organization's activities, the Scientific Council of Baku State University, in its session on October 27, 2023, officially approved the volunteer program and regulations on volunteer activities at BSU, thereby granting the "BSU Volunteers" organization official status.
