Campus

The campus of Baku State University (BSU) is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Baku, at 33 Zahid Khalilov Street, Yasamal district, intersecting with Matbuat Avenue, B. Vahabzadeh Street, and Mammad Rahim Street. The campus covers an area of 8.65 hectares.

The campus includes:

Five Academic Buildings:

  • A four-story Main Building with an area of 3,562.5 square meters (built in 1964).
  • A ten-story Building No. 1 with an area of 13,193.7 square meters (built in 1978).
  • A ten-story Building No. 2 with an area of 9,859.3 square meters (built in 1987).
  • A ten-story New Academic Building with an area of 12,112.0 square meters (built in 2008).

Additional Facilities:

  • A two-story administrative building housing the Physics Problems and Applied Mathematics Research Institutes.
  • Single-story structures hosting various laboratories.
  • A Sports Complex and a stadium.
  • A reconstructed single-story building for the Student Scientific and Technical Creativity Center (completed in 2022).
  • A two-story cafeteria building.

Ongoing Construction:

A seven-story administrative building is currently under construction for the Center of Excellence in Research, Development, and Innovations. This building is designed to accommodate BSU’s research laboratories equipped with advanced and innovative equipment to support ongoing scientific research activities.
