Young Talents Lyceum

The "Young Talents" Lyceum under Baku State University (BSU) has been serving to train knowledgeable and innovative-thinking patriotic youth in accordance with the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan" for 14 years. National leader Heydar Aliyev highly valued the role of education in the comprehensive and harmonious development of youth, recognizing education as the foundation of the nation and independent state, and showed great care for it. Continuing the political course of Heydar Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, places great emphasis on education in shaping the civic stance of young people and revealing the talents of gifted youth. It is not a coincidence that, on April 17, 2006, by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the "State Program for the Development of Creative Potential of Students (Youth) with Special Talents (2006-2010)" was adopted. In line with this program, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "Young Talents" Lyceum has been operating under BSU since 2007.
The main task of the Lyceum is to discover young talents who will serve national ideals, create a comprehensive environment for their development, and cultivate youth with deep knowledge and high moral qualities. In its activities, the Lyceum not only follows the exemplary curricula of general education schools but also adheres to the recommendations of the Scientific Council of BSU, and the latest achievements in modern pedagogy regarding education and upbringing.
