In the 2021/2022 academic year:
In the 10th Republican competition ‘Scientists of Tomorrow’
- 21 Lyceum students presented projects on various subjects such as Computer Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Management.
- 3 projects were awarded the 1st place, 5 projects – the 2nd place, 3 projects – the 3rd place, and 1 project – a special award.
- 2 projects awarded 1st place represented our country at the Intel ISEF - International Science and Engineering Fair organized in the United States of America.
- According to these results, the Lyceum ranked first in the Republic.
Competitions and Olympiads:
- The students of the Lyceum performed well at the knowledge competitions held in different countries and won 10 medals at the Republican and international Olympiads, of which – 2 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze.
- Nariman Shirinli, a 10th-grade student of Lyceum, won the bronze medal in Chemistry at the International Olympiad of Metropolises in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Informatics.
- Nariman Shirinli, a 10th-grade student of Lyceum, took 2nd place in the PolyUp Azerbaijan competition, qualified for the international competition, and won a bronze medal at the 55th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad;
- Khanlar Abbasov, an11th grade student was awarded an incentive prize at the Hungarian International Mathematical Olympiad named after John Von Neumann.
- 10th-grade students of the Lyceum, Nariman Shirinli, and Rafsan Habubullayev won gold medals in Chemistry and Physics respectively,
- and Khanlar Abbasov, an 11th-grade student, and Suleyman Abdulla, a 6th-grade student, won bronze medals in Informatics /Computer Sciences at the Republican Subject.
- 5th-grade students of the Lyceum, Jahangir Zeynalli, and Ali Nasirli were awarded silver medals, and Farida Jafarova and Turgut Huseynli were awarded bronze medals at Lutfizade (Lotfi Zadeh) Logic Olympiad.
- Rafsan Habubullayev, a 10th-grade student of Lyceum, who represented our country at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO-2021), was awarded an incentive award.
- The success of the educational center is driven by the conditions created by BSU and the establishment of teaching in the high school at a level corresponding to modern requirements, and teachers use modern innovative teaching technologies.
- Out of the 50 students of the 11th grade who graduated from the Lyceum this year, 9 students graduated with gold and 2 students with silver medals; 7 students graduated with honors.
