Public Review Board

The Public Control Council of Baku State University (BSU) is an advisory body. It was established in 2016 by the decision of the BSU Scientific Council to involve stakeholders in the university’s governance and to implement public control over its activities. The council facilitates effective interaction between BSU and the public, ensuring openness and transparency in the university’s operations. Additionally, it contributes to the formation of BSU’s development strategy and long-term plans, enhances its competitiveness in the national and international education services market, develops public governance mechanisms, and provides feedback and recommendations for improving the university’s educational, scientific, and innovation activities.

The council’s activities also include fostering effective communication between the university and the public, ensuring transparency in decision-making, protecting the rights of university staff and students, and offering recommendations to improve the institution’s operations.

The main responsibilities of the council include contributing to the development of BSU’s strategic programs, fostering international cooperation in education, science, technology, and culture, strengthening collaboration with government, public, and business institutions, promoting scientific, educational, and socially beneficial initiatives, and assessing the efficiency of the university’s intellectual and physical resources.
