Record Number of Azerbaijani Universities Included in QS 2026 Ranking
An awards ceremony recognizing Azerbaijani universities included in the QS 2026 Global Ranking was held on October 3.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education Ulker Sattarova, QS Regional Director Sergey Khristolyubov, as well as the leadership of the country’s leading universities.
It is noteworthy that, for the first time, nine universities from Azerbaijan were included in the QS 2026 Global Ranking, published in June this year. This marks a threefold increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the number of Azerbaijani universities featured in the ranking is three times greater than the total number of universities from other South Caucasus countries included in the same list.
