Qualifying Examination Held for the 19th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics
On July 22–23, Baku State University (BSU), in cooperation with the Tusi-Bohm Planetarium, hosted the qualifying examination for the 19th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA). The examination brought together the winners of the 6th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad.
Based on the examination results, the national team that will represent Azerbaijan at the 19th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, to be held in Vietnam from September 25 to October 5, will be selected. The successful candidates will continue their intensive theoretical and practical training until the opening of the Olympiad.
The Azerbaijani team participates in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics with the support of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The 6th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad and the preparatory training program are organized with the overall support of the Tusi-Bohm Planetarium, the only planetarium in the South Caucasus.
