Family Values Discussed at BSU
A scientific and practical event titled “Family Values in the Culture of Eastern Peoples” was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University (BSU).
The event explored family models among various Eastern nations, the dynamics of family relationships, and the role of the family in society. Students from the faculty presented papers on Arab, Persian, Israeli, Pakistani, Japanese, Turkish, and Azerbaijani cultures, sharing their insights into the essence and distinctive features of family values across these peoples.
The presentations highlighted the importance of the family as the moral foundation of every nation, emphasizing its essential role in preserving national identity and strengthening intergenerational bonds.
Dean of the Faculty, Aydan Khandan, commended the students’ interest in the topic and expressed confidence that research in this field would continue to expand.
Deputy Dean Nigar Ismailzade underlined the significance of such events in enriching students’ academic and practical experience.
