BSU Rector Participates in a Meeting within the Framework of the "Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge" Forum
Rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babayev participated in a meeting with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, held as part of the International Forum of Strategic Partners “Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge,” organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting brought together prominent figures from international academia, including Nunzio Quacquarelli, President of the global ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS); Peng Duan, President of Beijing Language and Culture University; Wendy Larner, President of Cardiff University; Sung Kyung Kim, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Woosong Educational Foundation; Ben Nelson, President of Minerva University; Yerbol Isakayev, Rector of M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University; and other distinguished representatives of science and education.
The participants discussed key trends in the global academic landscape, strengthening universities’ positions in international rankings, enhancing cooperation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, developing joint research projects, and fostering innovative partnership models aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
