BSU Rector Meets with Chairman of Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University
As part of the “Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge” Strategic Partners Forum held in Astana, Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), met with Meiram Begentayev, Chairman of the Board of the Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University (KNRTU).
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on conducting joint research in engineering, nanotechnology, materials science, and applied sciences in line with modern scientific priorities, as well as on enhancing cooperation between the technology transfer centers of both universities.
Under the agreement signed in 2021, BSU’s Faculty of Chemistry and KNRTU’s Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology are implementing a joint master’s program in Petrochemistry. The discussion also covered ways to improve the program’s effectiveness, introduce new laboratory training models, and develop joint doctoral programs in the future.
