BSU Biology Faculty Holds “Path to Success – A Graduate’s Experience” Event

The Faculty of Biology at Baku State University (BSU) held an event titled “Path to Success – A Graduate’s Experience.”
Opening the meeting, Faculty Dean Afet Mamedova highlighted the achievements of BSU graduates, noting with pride that many continue their education at leading universities in Azerbaijan and abroad while engaging in research. She outlined the initiatives implemented at BSU to support student and career development and encouraged first-year students to make full use of these opportunities.
At the event, faculty alumna Shovket Aliverdibeyli, now a Master’s student in Medical Genetics at Osmangazi University in Eskişehir (Türkiye), shared her success story. She spoke about the importance of perseverance, research skills and making wise use of international opportunities. Aliverdibeyli also discussed her research on the genetic basis of neurodegenerative diseases and pharmacogenetics, her dissertation topic, and the international scholarships she has received. She urged students to expand their knowledge, take an active role in research and believe in their ability to reach their goals.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session with students.
