BSU and Satbayev University Hold Master's Thesis Defense under Joint Double Degree Program

A master's thesis defense was held at Baku State University (BSU) under the joint double degree program in the Petrochemistry specialization of the Chemistry program, implemented in cooperation with Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University.
The defense was attended by a specialized committee composed of faculty members from both universities. Gunel Rustamli, a master's student in the Petrochemistry specialization at BSU's Faculty of Chemistry, presented her thesis, which had been prepared under the joint supervision of academic advisors appointed by both institutions. She provided a detailed overview of the research objectives, methodology, and key findings.
The committee highly praised the relevance of the research topic, its scientific quality, and its practical significance. Following the discussion, the committee approved the thesis defense as successful.
The joint double degree program, taught in English and launched under the cooperation agreement signed between BSU and Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University in 2021, is aimed at training highly qualified specialists in petrochemistry. The program enables students to benefit from the academic and research strengths of both universities, gain international experience, and develop the professional competencies required by the modern labor market.
