BSU and Akdeniz University Explore Opportunities for Cooperation
An online meeting was held to discuss prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between the Faculty of Geography of Baku State University (BSU) and the Department of Geography of Türkiye’s Akdeniz University.
The meeting was attended by Professor Magsed Gojamanov, Dean of the Faculty of Geography; Deputy Deans Eltaj Jabiyev and Goshgar Mammadov; Professor Aydin Ibrahimov; and Lecturer Anar Nuriyev. Akdeniz University was represented by Professor Cemali Sari, Head of the Department of Geography; Assistant Director Çağlar Çakır; Professor Tuncer Demir; and International Relations Coordinator Mehmet Tahsin Şahin.
During the meeting, Professor Magsed Gojamanov provided detailed information about the structure, activities, and international partnerships of BSU and its Faculty of Geography. Representatives of Akdeniz University also gave a presentation on their institution’s academic and research activities.
The parties reached a preliminary agreement to collaborate in the areas of student and faculty exchange, joint research projects, and the organization of scientific conferences.
The meeting was regarded as an important step toward establishing sustainable and productive cooperation between the two universities in the future.
