Baku State University Launches New Master's Specialization in “Foreign Policy of Turkic States and Integration Processes”

Beginning with the 2026/2027 academic year, the Faculty of International Relations and Economics at Baku State University (BSU) will, for the first time, offer a master's specialization entitled "Foreign Policy of Turkic States and Integration Processes."
The growing political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation among the Turkic states, the acceleration of regional integration, and the increasing role of the Turkic world in the system of international relations have created a rising demand for highly qualified professionals with in-depth expertise in this field. Against this backdrop, the introduction of the new specialization at BSU is of significant academic and practical importance.
The educational program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the foreign policy priorities of the Turkic states, the mechanisms of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as contemporary regional integration processes. Throughout the program, graduate students will study the activities of the Organization of Turkic States, the foreign policy strategies of the countries of the Turkic world, issues of regional security, integration models, mechanisms of international cooperation, and the development of economic and humanitarian ties.
The launch of this specialization will contribute to the advancement of research on the foreign policy of the Turkic states and regional integration, strengthen international academic cooperation, and prepare highly qualified professionals capable of meeting the evolving demands of the field of international relations.
