The Advisory Council under the Rector of Baku State University (BSU) has been operating since 2019. The purpose of establishing the council is to benefit from the vast experience of distinguished scholars and educators in BSU’s activities, particularly in pedagogy, scientific research, education, administration, and social development. The council contributes to organizing and improving education, science, and social initiatives at the university by utilizing the expertise of senior academics.
The council holds regular meetings with the university administration, presents proposals, and provides recommendations.
The council consists of prominent scholars over the age of 70 who have made significant contributions to the development of science and education at BSU and have extensive experience in teaching, research, and public service. The composition of the council is determined by the Rector of BSU.
