LOTFI ZADEH, the Azerbaijani-born mathematician, computer scientist, electrical engineer, and AI researcher, and emeritus professor at the University of California, Berkeley, was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Baku State University (BSU) by a decision made at the meeting of the Scientific Council of BSU on October 29, 1996.
